Using Traceability Derivation Matrix

Traceability Derivation Matrix allows you to view and derive Traceability between two different record types, side-by-side and in a tabular format. For example, use this editor to derive Use Cases from Business Requirements or Test Cases from Use Cases, etc.

You can also view traceability of records of multiple types.

NOTE: Multiple record types can be selected in TopTeam version 12.1. In TopTeam versions lower than 12.1, you can select one record type.

This editor allows you to select fields to customize your view.

You can access this editor from TopTeam main menu > Traceability > Traceability Derivation Matrix > Query. Refer to the images below.

Use the Traceability Derivation Matrix editor when you want to:

• View Traceability between existing records
• Link an existing record to a particular record
• Create a record and link it with selected records
