Restricting modifications and deletion of Attachments added by other users

In this article, you will learn how to restrict non-admin users from modifying or deleting Attachments added by other users.

Restricting Non-Admin users from modifying/deleting Attachments

 

  • Only users having the “Add / Remove Attachments” permission can edit or delete the Attachments. This permission is granted from Administration > Configure Record Type States & Workflow > Configure Allowed Actions page.
  • By default, a user having the “Add / Remove Attachments” permission can only edit or delete the Attachments that are added by him/her.
  • Only the Project Admins or System Administrators can edit or delete the Attachments that are added by other users.
